Terms and Conditions

BirdIsolatedBlack.png

To keep our small but beautiful glamping site running cleanly, safely and smoothly we ask the following:

Parking

Park in the arena field and use the trolley provided to move your baggage to your accommodation. For the safety and security of all our guests if the outer green gate is locked please lock it behind you when entering/leaving the site using the pin code padlock provided.

Glitter, confetti and balloons

Popped balloons are dangerous for wildlife, while glitter stays in the soil for years.  Biodegradable glitter and confetti only please and only use balloons to decorate inside spaces.

Noise

There’s a kind of hush… all over Milberry Green Meadows from 10 pm so you can get a wonderful, good night’s sleep (and so can the moles). Although we are quite a way from other local residences, sound travels far in the countryside and we ask you to respect our neighbours’ peace and quiet and that of other guests. Strictly no amplified music allowed, with the exception of the Hub until 10 pm.  Mobile phone music is okay without speakers, up to 10 pm. If you cause a disturbance and continue to do so after being asked by us to stop, we reserve the right to ask you to leave.

Eating/drinking

Eating and drinking is not permitted inside the bell tents. In order to keep the tents feeling clean for you, we have a no food rule.  You can eat around the fire circle, inside the Hub, or on the picnic benches. Just please not where people sleep. If you are staying in the shepherd’s huts you may eat in there but please keep it clean and tidy.

Drinking Water

The water in the shepherd’s huts is safe to drink, and there is drinking water available at the toilet/shower block. You can fill your water container up there. Occasionally in very cold weather the pipes will freeze and if this happens we will provide bottled drinking water for the shepherd’s huts but you may not be able to take a shower.

Fire Safety

Only use kindling, logs and fire-lighters provided, do not throw anything with batteries nor empty aerosols into the fire.   Fire extinguishers are available in the Hub, and the shepherd’s huts. The fire meeting place in the event of an evacuation is the shelter by the arena.

Outdoor fires are only permitted in the communal fire pit at the Hub.

We provide a starter set of logs, fire-lighters and kindling for the huts. If you need more, or for the communal fire pit, you can order it when booking or if we are on site please ask us for a bag. There is a small charge. You may provide your own wood but please ensure it is well-seasoned, untreated wood to ensure a cleaner burn and avoid using any treated, painted, or varnished wood as it can release harmful chemicals.

We’d like you to stay safe, so please make sure your stove is out before getting your zzzs so we can all breathe easy overnight.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted onsite with the exception of the shelter next to the arena.  Please dispose of butts in the ash bucket provided.

We encourage you to use the barbecue provided to cook with as it’s all part of the experience, but if you wish to bring your own please ensure it is raised off the ground. There are bricks in the Hub for you to help yourself and you can also request a disposable BBQ for a small fee if we are on site. We may ask you not to use barbecues etc in windy, dry weather for safety's sake.

Under no circumstances should any fires or open flames be taken into or lit within 6m of the tents or inside the tents.

Children must be supervised at all times.

All tea lights in the shepherd's huts must be kept in the holders provided.

If the Fire Severity Index is high, we may restrict fires with naked flames on site for your safety and that of other guests.

Recycling and waste

Labelled recycling and rubbish bins may be found inside the Hub. There should be bin bags in the Hub but please ask if they run out. As you leave, please take your rubbish and recycling to the big Veolia bins to the right of the gate as you exit.

Problems?

We are often out and about on site but if you can’t see us please call and we will see if we can sort it out :) 07943 992921.
